Abegweit Watermain Upgrades

Replacement and extension of water distribution system and service at three locations, two at the Scotchfort reserve and one at Morell reserve.  Works include:

  • excavation of trenches along the side of the existing street right of way to install watermain pipe (approximately 760m) for 12 homes within the area of Kitpu Street in the Scotchfort reserve
  • excavation of trenches along side of an existing street right of way and through grassed areas to install watermain pipe and services (approximately 1100m long) in the Scotchfort reserve.
  • excavation of trenches through grassed areas to install watermain pipe and services (approximately 460m long) in the Morell reserve.

Latest update

June 23, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/document/139492  and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
