Floating Platform for Boat Davits at the Canadian Coast Guard College

The proposed project involves the installation of a floating platform equipped with two fast rescue boats, a lifeboat, and a life raft, as well as the davits required to hoist, slew, and lower the small craft. The platform, measuring 18 meters in length and 12 meters in width, will be constructed at the contractor's facilities. It will then be anchored at the site of the Canadian Coast Guard College's existing marginal wharf using mooring anchors on the seabed. When in use, a gangway will allow access from the current wharf to the anchored platform. This setup will accommodate various types of small craft, facilitating berthing and launching as needed. When operable, this setup will enable the College to launch boats for Marine Emergency Duties (MED) certification training.
