Hardstand Maintenance - Canadian Forces Base Halifax

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing to carry out pavement repair/replacement activities at 12 Wing Shearwater and Windsor Park, Canadian Forces Base Halifax. The proposed work at 12 Wing is expected to take place at Seafire Avenue and consist of sidewalk, curb and gutter removal and installation of new widened sidewalk, curb and gutter, as well as milling and paving a portion of the road with new 50-millimeter asphalt. The proposed work at Windsor Park is expected to take place at Hawk Terrace and Barracks Drive and consist of sidewalk, curb and gutter replacement, catch basin grate, frames and curb drain removal and replacement, as well as milling and paving the roads with new 50-millimeter asphalt. The work is expected to take place Summer/Fall 2025.

July 16, 2025— The authorities issued their Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
