Proposed Wharf Construction - 8 Pottery Lane, Halifax

The proposed project involves the construction of a residential wharf and mooring, which will only be used for recreational purposes. The wharf will be unsheathed with a deck made of marine-grade wood sitting on helical piling fabricated from hot-dipped galvanized steel. The project is a new build, and there is currently no existing in-water infrastructure within the project footprint. Helical piles will be screwed into the seabed with a skid steer, operated either from land above the ordinary high-water mark, or from a stable barge. Construction of the above water portion of the wharf will be completed using industry standards.
