Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Effluent Monitoring Stations Upgrade Project

In support of CNL's Waste Management Program at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited's Chalk River site, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) is planning to upgrade effluent monitoring stations.  The proposed improvements will ensure continued accurate sample collection from streams located down gradient to Waste Management areas, supporting CNL's water analysis program.

Related work activity from placement of the new stations includes minimal removal of soil/ vegetation, and will employ erosion control methods.

The Project start date is proposed for 2021 October, adhering to the timing restriction windows for the protection of Blanding's turtles and migratory birds.  All physical activities will be conducted in accordance with CNL's Environmental Policy and applicable legislation.
