Dock Modification and Boathouse Repair - 189 Pine Ridge Lane, Adam's Lake, Rideau Canal National Historic Site

The owner of the property proposes to repair the foundation of their existing boathouse by installing piles under the boathouse. Other repair items include new siding, roofing and window/door replacement. The owner further proposes to modify the current dock system in order to better accommodate boat mooring inside the boathouse. The dock modification is within the allowances of the Rideau Canal's Policies for In-Water and Shoreline Work but will lead to an increase in the footprint of the dock. Currently the dock and boathouse measures 23' in width and 25' in depth. Following the planned work the new footprint will be 26' in width and 28' in depth. An evaluation of possible impacts to species at risk turtles will be included within the Impact Assessment.

This project may be reviewed by the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority and/or the relevant Municipality.
