Work to extend the Beauharnois hovercraft ramp

Real Properties Assets, Environment, Safety and Security of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada plans to extend the hovercraft ramp located at Beauharnois and work to correct a deformation in the articulated concrete mat. The objective of the project is to address safety issues during CCG operations on site.

The extension will be on the upper side of the ramp, over a length of 15 meters and a width of 22 meters. The extension of the ramp will be made of reinforced concrete. The scope of the work includes: deforestation, excavation and backfilling, installation of the granular foundation, levelling and compaction, installation of reinforcing steel, formwork, concrete pouring and finishing and development of a bypass access in granular materials.

The beginning of work is scheduled in the 3rd week of October 2022 so as not to conflict with CCG operations.
