Riverain Park Recreation Amenity Enhancements

The City of Ottawa is proposing to modernize Riverain Park, either through renewal of existing features or the addition of active recreation features. Riverain Park is federally owned land that the National Capital Commission (NCC) leases to the City of Ottawa. The purpose of the project is to modify park amenities to better meet the recreational needs of the City of Ottawa residents.
Project elements include:
-additional tennis and pickleball courts (3),
-relocation of the basketball court and horseshoe pits,
-addition of a secondary pathway.
-addition of skateboard park elements, a splashpad, a fitness circuit,
-an articulating precast block pad for small craft pedestrian launch, and
-an outdoor water fountain.
The anticipated construction dates for this project are from June 2020 to June 2021.
