YUL Montreal-Trudeau International Airport - Tank dismantling

The project consists of the removal of one 50,000 L underground tank and five (5) above-ground tanks, including three 1,135 L tanks, one 1,000 L tank, and one 1,500 L tank. Piping and distribution pumps will also be removed. These tanks, which are no longer in use, will be emptied, removed and disposed of in accordance with current regulations.

As part of this project, slab, sump, gutter and drain cleaning and the cleaning of oil/water separators will also be carried out. The wash water will be recovered for treatment and disposal in accordance with regulations.

The bottom and walls of the pits will be analyzed before backfilling to ensure that the soils remaining in place comply with the site's use and zoning. The land where the reservoir is located will then be rehabilitated.
