Plumbing System Replacement - CCHM - S5-8

The septic tanks at Locks 5 and 8 of the Chambly Canal are at the end of their life cycle and show signs of advanced deterioration, with the potential for soil contamination. The metal tanks are extremely corroded, which suggests that the contents of the tanks have percolated into the surrounding soil. A soil characterization is required to determine the degree of soil contamination, if any. The metal pits will be replaced with concrete pits.
