The Proposed Project

The project is located in Kahnawake and involves the construction of the new transfer depot which will include a sorting ramp and different sorting area. The current location, size and layout of the Transfer Depot no longer support the needs of the community. A new facility with the necessary improvements will update the Transfer Depot services to better meet ever growing waste diversion and disposal needs. This project is necessary for the implementation of the community's waste management plan and the achievement of its recycling objectives.
