Stabilization of the slope - section 104 of the Port of Montreal

MPA wishes to stabilize the embankment at section 104 of the Port of Montréal. The project involves the installation of a concrete retaining wall to limit the retreat of the top of the slope, a softening of the slope and the laying of riprap.

Notice of Determination - Stabilization of the slope - section 104 of the Port of Montreal

 

September 3rd, 2021 – The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) has determined that the proposed project Stabilization of the slope - section 104 is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

 

Mitigation measures taken into account for this determination are:

  • Management of excavated soils
  • Management of residual materials and hazardous materials
  • Management of suspended solids
  • Protection of trees
  • Protection of observation wells

Therefore, the MPA may perform any duty or function to enable the project to be carried out in whole or in part..
