Repair Storm Water Line - Royal Military College of Canada

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project to repair a collapsed storm sewer line adjacent to a Fort Brant Dormitory and remove / dispose of old piping to install new piping accompanied with grading of land in the immediate vicinity. This will be implemented by mobilizing equipment on-site, excavating area of repair, re-using soil that will be excavated if it is clean, and using clean back fill as required. The new soil bedding will be compacted, along with any additional backfill as well, to promote proper grading. The repair area will be seeded to return the area to its natural state. Mitigation measures will be implemented, as outlined in applicable Base Standing Orders, to protect environmental, biological, and natural flora and fauna. An Archeologist will be available to support the excavation of culturally sensitive grounds, with project-specific waste and soil management regulations being adhered to at all times.
